My album ‘…regrets’ deals with a particularly difficult time in my life where the culmination of so many problems associated with my personality and depression led to a voluntary admission in a psychiatric hospital. There, over the course of three months, I have come to terms with my faults and defects and paved the way to become a better version of myself.

‘…regrets’ is a reflection on that time which was very confrontational. It was a time of realizing the wrongs I did have impacted the relationship with my wife, my friends and family.

I’d like to think I came out as an improved person and that even though I am nowhere near where I need (and want) to be; the horrible version of me is gone.

‘…regrets’ also marks the beginning of a brighter sound for Hellstorm Of Flaming Nothingness. Where the focus in earlier works was more on despair, sadness, solitude, misanthropy and general darkness, I have decided that now was as good a time as any to shift more towards hope, warmth, love, kindness, melancholy and light.

‘…regrets’ serves as a reminder to people that help is out there. There are people who listen. There are people who care. There are people that provide helping hands, guiding you towards a future where you and others can appreciate the kind of person you are.
